Intergalaktik presents REGOČ at BalCCon 2026

Goran Mahovlić, co-founder of Intergalaktik, will present REGOČ – his team of specialized AI agents for software and hardware development – at BalCCon 2026 in Novi Sad.

The talk, “REGOČ – my SW/HW AI team”, will take place on 19 September 2026, from 12:00 to 12:45, on the Tesla stage.

REGOČ is a team of 11 specialized AI agents, including roles such as architect, engineer, researcher, security specialist and QA, which Goran works with daily through Telegram and voice interfaces. Rather than focusing on AI demonstrations, the system is used as part of real hardware and software development workflows – from PCB design and firmware to reverse engineering, simulation and testing.

Over the past year, REGOČ has been involved in a range of practical projects, including porting the legendary PDP-1 computer to the ULX3S FPGA, working on the open-source GateMate FPGA Ethernet stack with the KSZ9031 PHY, and reverse-engineering the Chasing Gladius Pro underwater drone, including MAVLink communication, RTP video and WiFi handshake analysis.

The agents were also used to develop FTSIM, an openEMS-based pipeline for running FDTD signal-integrity simulations on real PCB Gerber files, as well as an EMC pre-certification interface for in-house testing. In everyday hardware development, REGOČ also acts as a permanent “second pair of eyes” for KiCad, helping detect footprint errors, validate differential-pair routing, generate Gerber exports and identify stack-up issues before production.

The BalCCon presentation will offer a practical look at how AI agents can become active collaborators in electronics engineering, FPGA development, reverse engineering and open-source hardware workflows.
